The general public are encouraged to attend the Student Clinic where qualified practitioners supervise the students who administer the treatments. We offer a range of therapies at the student clinic, all at heavily discounted rates, making the AIHM Student Clinic an affordable option for many people.

Naturopathic Consultations
The aim of your consultation is to wholly asses you and your ailments by going through all of the body systems, looking for the underlying causes and then formulating a treatment plan to address these causes.
After taking a thorough health history including your past illnesses, injuries, vaccinations and those of your immediate relatives a standard procedure will be followed. This will include many diagnostic procedures such as Zinc level testing, tongue analysis, iridology, nail analysis, taking your pulse and your blood pressure.
After this full consultation, the practitioner will then be able to select an appropriate treatment plan for you, this may include; Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Homoeopathic Medicine, Flower Essences, Massage or any of the other modalities available that they feel would be of benefit for your ailment.
Once the treatment plan has been formulated you will receive the prescribed medicines and/or supplements together with any additional dietary advice you need to begin your path to better health and well being.
Acupuncture Consultations
Acupuncture is a modality that originated in China whereby very fine needles are used to stimulate points in the body that influence organs and systems. This enhances your body’s own ability to heal itself by balancing the homeostasis and encouraging the healing process.
Acupuncture is successfully used to treat many conditions such as headaches, digestive problems, respiratory disorders such as asthma, fatigue, stress and addictions. It also has an anti inflammatory effect and can help with motor recovery in patients suffering with paralysis.
Massage
One of the oldest Natural Therapies and also one of the best ways to nurture and pamper yourself! When enhanced with Flower Essence creams or Aromatherapy oils, the power of touch, to relieve the stress of everyday life is truly a gift, either to yourself or for a friend.
There are many physical and emotional benefits from having a massage. It can reduce stress, improve your circulation, relieve tense and sore muscles and it also promotes a sense of well being.
Reflexology
Definitely more than just a foot massage! This ancient technique is based on the principle that there are nerve reflexes in the hands, feet and ears that connect through channels of energy to various organs and systems in your body. Reflexology an effective healing modality for many health complaints and it also promotes general good health ……. it is also an excellent addition to a massage treatment
Homoeopathy
This is the principle of “like cures like” whereby natural substances are diluted, or potentised, and then used to treat the symptoms of imbalance. A German physician developed homoeopathy over 200 years ago; the underlying principles have not changed due to its effectiveness.
This modality works gently and at a deeper level of the body and can be a very inexpensive and effective answer to many health issues
Ayurveda
This is an Indian modality of medicine that is over 5,000 years old and it focuses on you as an individual and it recognises that each person is unique, with different needs and constitutions.
Ayurvedic consultations will include assessing your individual body constitution, dietary discussions and recommendations, lifestyle adjustments conductive to your body constitution.
