The AIHM is pleased to offer a nationally recognised Senior First Aid course in conjunction with Work & Train Australia. The course and it’s content is equal to any other Senior First Aid course offered by any other accredited First Aid training providers and it is nationally recognised.
The course covers both theoretical and practical aspects of Senior First Aid. Since we understand the areas particularly encountered by Natural Therapy practitioners major emphasis will be placed on those particular First Aid conditions while all the areas of required to be covered under the Nationally Competency Package will also be addressed.
The 4 x 1.5 hour contact classes,
together with the workbook, form part of the Clinical Procedures
& First Aid unit CLI129 and is a pre-requisite for students of
the AIHM who are preparing to commence the Clinical
Training and Assessment component of their training but is also
be open to members of the general public who want to gain this
vital knowledge and skills.
To give maximum benefits and training, numbers are limited to 20 participants and enrolment will be accepted on a “first paid, first served” basis. All the learning materials required for completion of the course will be given 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the
contact classes so that you will be able to familiarise yourself with the material that is going to be covered and learn the theoretical elements in your own time and at your own pace and complete the associated workbook which will need to be handed in to the assessor on the first day of practical training (TBA) is a requirement of this course.
The contact classes are primarily designed for the practical, hands on experience and demonstration and to answer any questions raised by the participants.
Upon successful completion of the course Nationally Recognised Senior First Aid Certificate will be presented by Work & Train Australia, which is a Registered Training Organisation.
